Salem Community Center ("SCC", "we", "our") is a private not-for-profit organization located in Salem, Ohio. This page explains what information is collected when you visit our website (salemcommunitycenter.com) and how it is used.

Analytics

We use GoatCounter to understand how visitors use our site — for example, which pages are most visited and how people navigate between them. GoatCounter collects anonymized usage data including approximate location (country level), browser type, device type, screen size, and pages visited. It does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and does not share data with third parties. No personal data is collected or stored.

Fonts

Our website uses Barlow Semi Condensed and Source Sans 3 typefaces. These font files are stored on our own servers and are loaded directly from salemcommunitycenter.com — no third-party font provider is contacted when you visit our site.

Facebook Content

One page on our site (/facebook-feed.html) offers an optional embedded Facebook feed. This content is blocked until you actively click "Show Facebook Feed." If you choose to load it, your browser will connect to Meta's servers, which may set cookies and collect data as described in Meta's Privacy Policy. You can also visit our Facebook page directly without triggering this connection.

Contact Forms

If you submit a contact, donation request, or sponsorship form on our site, the information you provide (name, email, message) is submitted through Netlify Forms and delivered to SCC staff. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry. We do not sell or share your information with third parties.

Cookies

Our site does not set any first-party tracking cookies, and GoatCounter does not use cookies. If you decline to load the Facebook feed, no Meta cookies are set. Our site is effectively cookie-free for visitors who do not load the Facebook feed.

Children's Privacy

Our website is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our site, please contact us and we will promptly remove it.
